Welcome. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
As a mother of four, I know how exciting it is to be expecting a little one (whether it’s your first or a subsequent pregnancy).
I also know how hard it can be to take time for you, whether you’re juggling work and/or little ones already - this is where pregnancy yoga comes in!

- Is Yoga safe in pregnancy ?
Yes, when adapted by a specially trained teacher (like me). I accept students from 14 weeks, after the first scan, and send out a medical form in advance to get to know a bit about you and your pregnancy.
This also allows for individual modifications based on due date, position of baby or any issues such as Pelvic Girdle Pain or SPD.
The NHS website specifically refers to yoga being safe in pregnancy.
You can also read more about the benefits of doing or starting yoga in pregnancy from Tommy’s charity,

- What is your training?
I completed advanced Yoga Teacher Training in Pregnancy in March 2025, at Yoga Rise Peckham in person with Tara Lee and Clare Daniell - both of whom are expert teachers in pregnancy yoga and anatomy. We also received expert sessions from a Women’s Physio and Midwife.
This was a 50hr training, in person, including observed teaching, class planning and class observations, and a written test. I have also completed 25hr training in Postnatal Yoga, also with the same studio and teachers.
- What to expect ?
My classes include breathwork to ground and begin that is suitable for pregnancy, gentle movement from seated, to “all 4s” and a short standing section, before warming down gently and moving towards modified Savasana and guided relaxation, including the use of gentle crystal sound bowls - which is safe for pregnancy.
- Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. I close bookings 30 mins before class start to ensure I have all the health information that I need and can adapt accordingly. I keep my classes small and intimate for individual attention.
- What if I just want to rest?
That’s absolutely fine! It is always your time and your practice - everything is always an invitation, listening to your body is so important (especially in pregnancy). Simply taking the time to meet fellow pregnant ladies and connect with your baby is so precious, even if you don’t do any movement. Yoga is not about the poses, but the breath and mind-body connection. This is why pregnancy yoga is such a beautiful and unique experience.

Your journey doesn’t end here
